Friendly Fires climb on board

Is it fair that every new band on the dance-rock scene immediately gets linked to LCD Soundsystem? Maybe not, but sometimes the obvious references don’t really matter, and this is a perfect example of that. Friendly Fires are sailing out from the UK to conquer the world with their upbeat melodies and dancey grooves. Their track On Board has been haunting me for about a year now with a neat repetitive chorus and now they’re ready to drop their debut album for your listening pleasure. While I haven’t had the chance to listen to the album yet, I have a certain feeling that it delivers what it promises, a nice and worry-less soundtrack for your semi-hard parties.
